I don't usually measure) Five Quarts of peeled and cored pears (about 12 large pears) 1 T. ground cinnamon Halfed and scraped vanilla bean and inside 3 T brown sugar 1/2 c. water Put all contents in crock pot and cook on low for 8 hours. Remove vanilla bean and blend with emersion blender. Continue cooking for a few hours until as thick as you'd like.
