        <title>"Beach 40" 7 MHz DSB txcvr: Part 5 fine tuning</title>

<description>Adjusting the Beach 40's tuning can be awkward, with 150kHz crammed into a half turn of the tuning capacitor. In this video I add a fine tuning control, draw the circuit and demonstrate its effect on SSB and AM signals. Note: 1. Tuning is non-linear and there's less range near the low end of the tuning range (maybe only a few hundred hertz). 2. This is intended for use with the ceramic resonator version of the "Beach 40". It might not give enough range with the twin crystal VXO version.
