This popcorn is thought to be thousands of years old...take that Monsanto! With the popularity of Ancient Grains in the past few years we decided this would be a great way to experience what corn is supposed to taste like. While this is considered a popcorn variety, it can also be eaten fresh like sweet corn or dried and ground into corn meal or flour. We were worried about how well our harvest would be after battling corn worms and Japanese beetles earlier in the summer but it looks like the corn has made it through just fine and we didn't even have to genetically modify it!
