<description>Basement slab is in, and its time for us to start framing. In the previous video I showed how to lay out and install mudsill on a stepped foundation solo. At the time I just used the @MAXUSACORPTools HN120 concrete nailer to attach the mudsill. In this video I'll show how we were able to skip the anchor bolts at the foundation and now we'll drill and install @strongtie Titen HD anchors. Is it worth going this route? I think it is yes.... with a couple of caveats. Make sure the rebar is out of the way or you'll end up hitting it and obliterating your time savings. The other caveat is buy the Titens in bulk online to get the price down. We saved time by not laying out bolts at the foundation forming, and not working around them during concrete placement. Drilling for Titens is an easy and painless process and means we can locate the bolts where we want during framing lay out. Our engineer spec'd these 1/2" every 5', but we use 5/8" Titens and go every 48". The reason is that we have the Dude Tools deep socket for 5/8" bolts, and we frame 24" oc so alternating bays is easy. Please remember that I'm not showing the best way to do anything, but just the method that works well for us. Thanks for watching! Oh and another takeaway, if you use a drone for commercial work, you need to be part107 certified. Commercial work includes social media like YouTube if you plan to make an income off of that. I watched a video about this last May and then purchased the Part 107 Course https://sso.teachable.com/secure/245841/checkout/1320802/bundle-remote-pilot-plus-maneuvers?coupon_code=FRAMERS100&amp;affcode=245841_0eauthdo I studied and learned for 1 month and then took my test. I scored a 95%, which is a testament to how good Greg and the crew over there teach. That link will save you $100 off the course and support this channel.
