I had not played with one of these units before, but I was interested in the alleged bypass tool that the manufacturer includes in the package. It was expressed by GunBox that this tool and its use is somehow a secret... but as you can see, ANYONE who takes even a casual glance inside of the GunBox can immediately see how it works. This product adequately serves the need that many such devices do... it will probably prevent an accident from a toddler who is in the same home as your carry piece. Like most other firearm lock boxes, however, it will not serve as adequate protection against theft or a curious teenager. So, keep all that in mind. Firearm lock boxes are NOT gun safes. They are meant for short-term convenience storage, not long-term proper storage of guns. Also, maybe it was something we were doing wrong, but as you can see in this video, the unlocking function of this GunBox was less than 100% reliable.
