Healthy animals are quite hardy and only need a few things to weather a storm. First and foremost every animal needs a good sturdy shelter so they can get out of the rain and wind. Take the most time and spend the most money on a sturdy shelter. It doesn't have to be fancy, just functional and sturdy. Second is water. I like to keep at least three 50 gallon barrels full of water on hand for a storm. Plastic 50 gallon barrels work great, they last for years and are very durable and very inexpensive. Third of corse is food. Make sure you have plenty of hay and grain to last 7 to 10 days. Even longer is need be. Then I just keep an eye on everyone incase I need to fix a little something out there and wait out the storm.
