Unfortunately, the swallows managed to get in before I could finish, so I now have to leave the door open while they tend to their chicks in the nest. Getting this side of the floor finished has been a huge job — lots of milling, machining the timbers, working overhead, and moving a very heavy platform multiple times. It has been hard work, but it is finally done. I would really like to start machining the flooring for the upper level next, but I do not want it covered in bird droppings, so I am going to wait until the swallows have moved on.
