Since I reside in an urban environment and rarely get myself into a wilderness survival situation, I prefer to call this type of kit an "Urban Altoids EDC Kit", since the items are more for everyday convenience purposes in an urban environment. One of the issues of these type of Altoids Kits is that they add extra bulk to your pockets. Several years ago I decided to make myself an Altoids Smalls EDC Kit, which uses the very tiny Altoids Smalls peppermint breath mints tin as a storage case. This tin is so small that it can fit in the watch pocket of your jeans, so it makes for a great method of carrying additional knick-knacks with your regular EDC.
