<description>It's finally time to get my 2002 Suzuki XL-7 rust proofed at KROWN! In Part 1, I explain the preliminary process to get my truck ready for the KROWN application, and then drive 4 hours North to Stanley, NY: https://www.krown.com/united-states/new-york/stanley/route-5-20/ This is the first treatment of any sort of rust-proofing since the truck was new. Preliminary work (not filmed) involved removing all the plastic trim, bumper covers, fender liners etc. and spraying Rust-Oleum Rust Reformer on all rusty surfaces, followed by a coat of fluid film in the hard-to-reach areas. https://www.rustoleum.com/product-catalog/consumer-brands/stops-rust/rust-reformer/ https://www.fluid-film.com/ I also applied Rain-X water repellent to the windshield and tailgate rear glass. The results are AWESOME! https://www.rainx.com/products/glass-water-repellents-cleaners/ On the day of my KROWN appointment we got a decent snowfall, so the XL-7 got a good dose of salt and snow... Avoid accidents in the snow! GET YOUR SNOW TIRES INSTALLED! http://generaltire.com/tires/winter/altimax-arctic Part 2 will show the actual salt-removal and KROWN application process. Enjoy!
