Last summer we had a fraction of the rainwater that we typically get in a year. This winter we had record snow and cold. Given that snow is 1/3 of our annual precipitation we treat it like a waste product. Snow might be the lowest lying fruit that we have in these dry climates to hydrate the landscape.
