        <description>You might think that crops grown in a pest free garden with ample water and nutrients, perfect weather, and no environmental stress would be richer in antioxidants, but this is not the case. While these conditions might produce beautiful looking plants, they’d likely be lower in antioxidants than crops grown in a less ideal setting. OYR is all about growing a lot of food on a little land using sustainable organic methods, while  keeping costs and labor at a minimum. Emphasis is placed on improving soil quality with compost, mulch, and compost tea.  No store-bought fertilizers, soil amendments, pesticides, compost activators, etc. are used.
