Tests with magnetic loops 2: Gain from two loops

Some crude field strength tests with a beam formed from two magnetic loops. Two loops correctly spaced and tuned appear to provide a small amount of gain (approx 2dB). The driven loop is detuned about 2% above the operating frequency. A second passive loop drops the driven loop's resonant frequency. Careful spacing and tuning of both loops is required to provide this gain. Improvements to the experiment include 1. a longer measuring distance to compare far field strengths (with a more accurate and more sensitive FS meter), and 2. a brace to ensure loops are held more firmly together (as spacing is critical). Further details on these loops can be found on vk3ye.com or other YouTube videos.
