<description>Pedestrian mobile activity during the Summer VHF/UHF Field Day. 6 metres (50 MHz) is normally a dead loss with flat conditions and limited activity as stations concentrate on 144 MHz and higher. However this last weekend's contest was an exception, with the 'magic band' providing long distance propagation throughout Australia. This video shows some of the contacts made with 5 watts to a 40cm diameter magnetic loop.
